We’ve lit the fires, invited great troubadours, and served amazing food and drinks at FriluftsByns courtyard since 2014. Over the years, Burgers & Beer has become one of the highlights of the summer in the High Coast.

Stop by, and you’ll understand why, but make sure to book a table in advance. If you just want to drop by, we’ll do our best to find a table if space allows. Of course, you’re also welcome to just have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Should the weather turn bad, we’ll move Burgers & Beer indoors and create the most wonderful Biergarten you can imagine.

At the Burgers & Beer evenings, we are at FriluftsByns courtyard. If the forecast shows rain, we move inside to restaurant Vardagsrummet. It will be just as fun.

Summer 2023

We kick off Burgers & Beer on Wednesdays and Saturdays in July and continue the same way in the first half of August. In the last two weeks of August, we have two special Burgers & Beer events. On the second-to-last occasion on August 19th, we’ll move indoors to Vardagsrummet, while the grand finale on August 26th will take place outdoors during the Friluftsfest.

Each evening has two sittings – one starting from 5:00 PM and another starting from 7:00 PM, where you can keep your table for the rest of the night. The troubadour starts playing at 6:00 PM, beginning with songs suitable for children and adults alike. Of course, you can also drop by and hope there’s space or simply enjoy a drink.

If there’s seriously bad weather, we’ll move Burgers & Beer indoors and create a wonderful indoor Biergarten. You can read more about it here:

In July, there’s full activity in FriluftsByn, and to add some variation, we alternate between keeping Burgers & Beer and restaurant Vardagsrummet open.

The hangout we ourselves missed.

I have had the privilege of traveling around the world – earlier through my work in the outdoor industry, and now more recently privately during the off-season. And if there’s one thing I love, it’s the hangout at the North American National Parks. You know, those places where you go after a day filled with adventure or just drop in for the atmosphere.

So when I moved back home to Höga Kusten and started realizing FriluftsByn, the goal was to create Sweden’s most awesome outdoor hangout, inspired by places like Banff in Alberta, Boulder in Colorado, and Yosemite in California, where the picture next to this text was taken.

You could say that, just like everything else we do in FriluftsByn, Burgers & Beer is equally much for ourselves as for those who visit. A truly relaxed outdoor hangout with live music, campfires, and good food and drinks for all of us – whether you come alone or with a group of friends, for those who bring their kids and curious seniors. Together, we make sure to have a really pleasant evening.

TROUBADOURS AT SKULEBERGET

We make sure to invite the best troubadours in the High Coast to FriluftsByns courtyard and Burgers & Beer. If you just want to drop by, chill, and enjoy something tasty from the bar, you are more than welcome to find a seat as space allows. We close at 23:00. The troubadours perform three sets starting at 18:00, and the tempo increases as the evening progresses.
