These cabins are perfect for families with children or friends who want to go on adventures – or couples who want some extra space during their stay in the High Coast.

Stay in a large cabin in the heart of the World Heritage site – High Coast

If you want to stay in a cabin with both shower and toilet, you should check out one of our five large cabins. Our large cabins are perfect for families, groups of friends, or couples who want some extra space and also want to stay right among all the highlights of the High Coast.

One could sometimes wish that the cabins were exactly identical to each other, but they differ a bit, and that also adds to the area’s charm. The cabins Hike and Cycle are identical and our largest cabins with two rooms, a kitchen, WC, and shower.

The cabins Climb and Paddle have one bedroom, one living room, and a kitchenette. Cabin Swim is located right by the water, and here you can also rent a sauna.

You bring your own bed linen (which can also be rented), toilet paper, and dish soap. If you don’t feel like cleaning or are in a hurry to continue your journey, you can book a departure cleaning service, and we’ll take care of it. Dispose of trash at our recycling area located by the main service building.

With FriluftsByn as your base, you not only live amidst the best experiences of the High Coast, but there’s also plenty of space for relaxation.

Booking Tips!

Minimum two nights

If you want to book a cabin during June, July, and August, you need to book a minimum of two nights. Single-night bookings are not available.

Which cabins are available?
– Use the “Show availability” button!

You are probably searching for a date that suits you best, but if you are flexible, you can get an overview of available accommodations by clicking on the “Show availability” button at the bottom of the booking module above. When you click on that button, a calendar will appear showing when different cabins are available for booking.

It can also be helpful to use “Show availability” if a certain type of cabin is fully booked on your selected date to see when that type of cabin is available.

When you find an available cabin in the calendar, enter the available dates in the search field and click “Search.” Then, you will be presented with the available accommodation as a bookable option.

It is also included in the booking confirmation you will receive via email.

What do I need to bring with me?

You can of course choose what to bring, but the following items are recommended:

– Dish soap and dish brush
– Bed linens (can be booked in advance). Blankets and pillows are provided in the cabins.
– Towel
– Toilet paper if you are staying in a larger cabin.

Cabin Large Hike

Max 6 persons.
Cabin Hike and Cycle are identical cabins with two rooms, a kitchen, WC, and shower. In the bedroom, there is a double bed and a bunk bed. The living room has a daybed, and in the kitchen, there is an additional bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a table seating six. The living room features a sofa, armchair, and TV. It’s like having your own summer cottage.

Cabin Large Cycle

Max 6 persons.
Cabin Hike and Cycle are identical cabins with two rooms, a kitchen, WC, and shower. In the bedroom, there is a double bed and a bunk bed. The living room has a daybed, and in the kitchen, there is an additional bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a table seating six. The living room features a sofa, armchair, and TV. It’s like having your own summer cottage.

Cabin Large Climb

Max 6 persons.
Cabin Climb has one bedroom and a combined living room/kitchen, as well as a WC and shower. The bedroom has two bunk beds. In the living room, there is a sofa, TV, pull-out bunk bed, kitchen table, and a kitchenette.

Cabin Large Paddle

Max 4 persons.
Cabin Paddla has one bedroom and a combined living room/kitchen, as well as a WC and shower. The bedroom has two bunk beds. In the living room, there is a sofa, a 140cm bed, TV, kitchen table, and a kitchenette.

Cabin Large Swim

Max 5 persons.
Stuga Swim has a sleeping alcove with a double bed, a living area with a kitchenette, and a sleeping loft accessed via a ladder with two mattresses that can be extended to three – although it may be tight for adults. In the living area, there is a kitchen table and a TV. The cabin has a shower and WC, and right nearby, there is a sauna that can be rented for 500 SEK for the entire stay. Firewood can be purchased at the visitor center.
