“If you want to experience Höga Kusten alone or with a smaller family, this is a really good option.“
Jerry, FriluftsByn
“A family bed means a wider lower bunk at 120 cm and an upper bunk at 90 cm. It’s not impossible for three people to sleep in it.”
Anna, FriluftsByn
“This is the third time I’m renting a camping cabin and coming alone. If you want company, you can join others at the campfire in the courtyard.“
Sofia Lundberg, Uppsala
CAMPING CABIN SMALL, WITH FAMILY BED
Whether you come alone, with friends, or a small family, this is a perfect accommodation for you.
Our five camping cabins with family beds are located just outside FriluftsByn’s courtyard with lovely sun exposure right at the foot of Skuleberget. Here, you or your group will stay right amidst all the highlights of Höga Kusten. The cabin will serve as your base, but you’ll probably find yourself sitting on the small terrace with a cup of coffee or a book. Alternatively, you can enjoy the cozy social areas and BBQ spots at FriluftsByn. If you come alone and want company, you can join others in the courtyard, and if you’re traveling with children, they will soon find friends in the area..
The cabin has a family bed, which simply means a bunk bed that is wider at the bottom (120 cm) so that two people can sleep there, and a 90 cm upper bunk. The cabin also has a small dining table, a kitchenette with a hotplate, and a small refrigerator. The shower (operated with a 10 SEK coin) and toilet are available in the newly renovated service building. In the service building, there is also a larger kitchen with an oven and dishwashing facilities.
Our small camping cabins range from 890 SEK to 990 SEK per night, depending on the season.
Booking Tips!
Minimum two nights
If you want to book a cabin during June, July, and August, you need to book a minimum of two nights. Single-night bookings are not available.
Which cabins are available?
– Use the “Show availability” button!
You are probably searching for a date that suits you best, but if you are flexible, you can get an overview of available accommodations by clicking on the “Show availability” button at the bottom of the booking module above. When you click on that button, a calendar will appear showing when different cabins are available for booking.
It can also be helpful to use “Show availability” if a certain type of cabin is fully booked on your selected date to see when that type of cabin is available.
When you find an available cabin in the calendar, enter the available dates in the search field and click “Search.” Then, you will be presented with the available accommodation as a bookable option.
Cancellation Policy
You can find the complete cancellation policy here.
It is also included in the booking confirmation you will receive via email.

– If you are staying in a Camping cabin or Friluftsbod, you will need 10-kronor coins to use the showers in the service buildings. We can exchange coins at our visitor center and restaurant. “Every year, we notice how more and more people choose to book a cabin for themselves – for a little adventure, personal time, to get some work done, and then end with some socializing with others. It’s also fun to see how a parent brings one or two of their children here for an adventure and how the children quickly find new friends. It’s fun.“
Jerry, FriluftsByn

Nice hangout. Even though you will enjoy your cabin, it’s quite enjoyable to hang out in our courtyard.

Adventure. The cabins are perfect for two friends or the smaller family. There are hikes for everyone.

New friends! The children usually find new friends quickly since the cabins are located right next to our camping and tent area.

Cozy evenings. Don’t miss our “Burgers & Beer” or our restaurant Vardagsrummet. Check it out here: Event and adventures >>

Right outside the cabins, you’ll find our fresh service building with separate entrances for gentlemen and ladies. Here, there are a total of ten showers (you’ll need a 10 SEK coin for the shower) and six toilets. We believe that getting ready for adventures should be quick and easy.

In your camping cabin, you have a refrigerator and hotplates. However, many people like to buy some firewood and grill at one of our fireplaces. You can wash your dishes in the communal kitchenette. Don’t forget to bring a dish brush and dish soap – ours tend to grow legs.

Sometimes it’s quite nice to just walk away and do the dishes. In the summer of 2020, we added even more dishwashing stations, so now you can also do the dishes outdoors under a roof.
