Booking Tips!
Minimum two nights
If you want to book a cabin during June, July, and August, you need to book a minimum of two nights. Single-night bookings are not available.
Which cabins are available?
– Use the “Show availability” button!
You are probably searching for a date that suits you best, but if you are flexible, you can get an overview of available accommodations by clicking on the “Show availability” button at the bottom of the booking module above. When you click on that button, a calendar will appear showing when different cabins are available for booking.
It can also be helpful to use “Show availability” if a certain type of cabin is fully booked on your selected date to see when that type of cabin is available.
When you find an available cabin in the calendar, enter the available dates in the search field and click “Search.” Then, you will be presented with the available accommodation as a bookable option.
Cancellation Policy
You can find the complete cancellation policy here.
It is also included in the booking confirmation you will receive via email.
What do I need to bring with me?
You can of course choose what to bring, but the following items are recommended:
– Dish soap and dish brush
– Bed linens (can be booked in advance). Blankets and pillows are provided in the cabins.
– Towel
– Toilet paper if you are staying in a larger cabin.
– If you are staying in a Camping cabin or Friluftsbod, you will need 10-kronor coins to use the showers in the service buildings. We can exchange coins at our visitor center and restaurant. FriluftsBodarna
The FriluftsBodar are a collaboration with some of Sweden’s top outdoor companies. Together, we have built nine cabins in the heart of FriluftsByn. In essence, you can compare the FriluftsBodar to having your own room in a giant outdoor space.
How big is a FriluftsBod?
The FriluftsBodar are approximately 14 m2 in size and have either two bunk beds or one double bed, as well as a refrigerator. This becomes your own room, while all other facilities are located right outside.
What can I find in the area?
In FriluftsByn, you will find showers, toilets, a kitchen, barbecue areas, lovely social spaces, and of course, access to a cozy common room. From Midsummer to the second week of August, there is a fun concept called “Burgers & Beer” in the courtyard. There is a restaurant with a live troubadour every Wednesday and Saturday. On these evenings, the seating areas or barbecue ring in the courtyard and the outdoor terrace of the common room cannot be used, but everywhere else in the FriluftsByn area is available for use. If you want to join “Burgers & Beer,” you can book a table on the restaurant’s page on the website.
